How to use Email Marketing Effectively
Email Marketing, why and how to use it effectively.
So why? everyone just sends spam emails to their junk right? Yes they do, because spam is where you email people who do not want or did not expect your email.
Email marketing is (or should be) the opposite of that.
So, you have worked really hard to get on page 1 of google, your spending a bit of money on google adwords to increase traffic further and your web traffic is improving but your conversion rate is not?
What's wrong?
Well when was the last time you bought something from a website on your first visit? I honestly can't remember myself, I doubt I would because I would normally shop around and most likely research the site first or see if anyone else has used it before.
What I will do though, if it sells products I use/need/buy is sign up to their enewsletter, I'll most likely forget the website url and it would be handy to see what offers they have etc.
If they don't have an enewsletter there is a good chance i'll leave the site and never come back if I find something elsewhere or forget the name of the site or url.
That's why you should use email marketing!
If you sell products or services (online or offline) you can keep current and potential customers informed of new releases and relevant helpful industry information.
You should never use bulk email to prospect business, it looks desperate and I personnaly get defensive about people emailing me when I don't know who they are. My first thought is how did they get my email address? I feel really negative about the sender and they would have to do a hell of a lot to convince my they are a legitimate business.
Start converting some of your web traffic into newsletter subscribers and you will start to reap the benefits of email marketing.

Man and the Need for Numbers $13.99 "Early man had many needs, one of which was numbers. After numbers and counting he had to develop methods of adding, subtracting and multiplying and that led to what we have come to know as modern mathematics. Who came up with all of this? What is the origin? When did it all happen? John Jacobs began his teaching career in 1965. While teaching and pursuing his graduate degree, he used historical vignettes as class-room enrichment material and as the basis of his research paper titled Man and the Need For Numbers. However, he never published his manuscript. He then left teaching and over the next 35 years John worked as a construction field laborer, a contracts administrator, a procurement officer and a warehouse materials manager. The passage of 40 years since he first composed his paper has not diminished his interest in the topic. This book is easy to read and could help you understand math in a new way." |

That Used To Be Us $8.33 America has a huge problem. It faces four major challenges, on which its future depends, and it is failing to meet them. In THAT USED TO BE US, Thomas L. Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum analyze those challenges - globalization, the revolution in information technology, the nation's chronic deficits, and its pattern of energy consumption - and spell out what needs to be done now to rediscover America's power and prowess. They explain how the end of the cold war blinded the nation to the need to address these issues seriously. They show how America's history, when properly understood, provides the key to coping successfully and explain how the paralysis of the US political system and the erosion of key American values have made it impossible to carry out the policies the country needs. THAT USED TO BE US is both a searching exploration of the American condition today and a rousing manifesto for American renewal. |

That Used to Be Us $12.99 America is in trouble. We face four major challenges on which our future depends, and we are failing to meet them—and if we delay any longer, soon it will be too late for us to pass along the American dream to future generations.        In That Used to Be Us , Thomas L. Friedman, one of our most influential columnists, and Michael Mandelbaum, one of our leading foreign policy thinkers, offer both a wake-up call and a call to collective action. They analyze the four challenges we face—globalization, the revolution in information technology, the nation’s chronic deficits, and our pattern of excessive energy consumption—and spell out what we need to do now to sustain the American dream and preserve American power in the world. They explain how the end of the Cold War blinded the nation to the need to address these issues seriously, and how China’s educational successes, industrial might, and technological prowess remind us of the ways in which “that used to be us.” They explain how the paralysis of our political system and the erosion of key American values have made it impossible for us to carry out the policies the country urgently needs.        And yet Friedman and Mandelbaum believe that the recovery of American greatness is within reach. They show how America’s history, when properly understood, offers a five-part formula for prosperity that will enable us to cope successfully with the challenges we face. They offer vivid profiles of individuals who have not lost sight of the American habits of bold thought and dramatic action. They propose a clear way out of the trap into which the country has fallen, a way that includes the rediscovery of some of our most vital traditions and the creation of a new thirdparty movement to galvanize the country.        That Used to Be Us is both a searching exploration of the American condition today and a rousing manifesto for American renewal. |

Succession Planning for the Leaders We Need $133.82 What influences individuals in pursuing leadership positions in a Catholic school? The particular needs and perceptions of teachers and administrators regarding current and future leadership development practices were gathered to address the question. Of particular interest were the deterrents and barriers that are keeping potential candidates from aspiring to leadership positions in this particular school board.Interviews, focus groups, and a survey were tools used to discover the perceptions of academic staff including senior administrators, principals, consultants/coordinators, and elementary and secondary teachers. Most prominently, it was felt that the expectations of the role needed to be more realistic and there needed to be significant leadership training to develop skills necessary to understand and manage the job.
