The cameras can either be installed wireless using operating remotes, or with wirings by drilling holes within the building or home.

Once a suspected behavior has been captured by the motion detector camera, the message is relayed to the mainframe and then recorded. If by any means an action ahs been made to perform a specific motif, which identifies that person to be a burglar, the Security Alarms system will send a message to the mainframe computer, and the mainframe's job is to use whatever communicating resources, most commonly used is the telephone.

The mainframe computer dials pre-stored phonebook numbers within the telephone, to catch the attention of the surveillance and security agency. This is when the actual response will be made. For building establishments, the building alarm uses a program that allows detection easily and the information is disseminated to all persons concern through a buzzer or speakers.

In this way, the burglars will be aware that the message has been relayed to the security group and they will opt for a retreat. For home alarm system, it uses a special device to transmit the signal to the security group to allow human action to intercept the culprit.
