In the recent 2011 Consumer Reports reliability survey, Subaru has earned the fourth position in brand-wide reliability thanks to its consistently reliable vehicles year after year. Eight of nine Subaru models scored as a recommended buy based on reliability in the study.
Also this year, the 2011 Subaru Outback was rated first for reliability among affordable full-size wagons by U.S. News. And in 2010, Consumer Reports ranked Subaru and Honda as first based on scores for road tests and predicted reliability ratings.
All of this points to what most drivers already believe about Subaru: It makes cars driven by safety with reliability riding shotgun.
Excellent evaluations have been given to the Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback over the recent model years by Consumer Reports. These two models serve as the beacon for the extremely high reliability ratings, but eight total Subaru models come recommended based on reliability.
For Subaru, boasting a model like the 2011 Outback as a heavyweight on the reliability scale means a great deal. The Outback is a ruggedly designed wagon that could also be considered a crossover, and is meant for family and adventure. So reliability is a must have for the consumers seeking a vehicle to meet those needs.
The revised Outback lends a feeling of spaciousness and quality thanks to several improvements such as increased seat adjustability, softer cushioning, and reductions in NVH levels. Subaru has also outfitted the 2011 Outback with a plethora of amenities such as Wi-Fi connectivity. The new Subaru Mobile Internet system creates a Wi-Fi hotspot inside the Outback, and gives internet access to ten or more users for up to 150 feet around the vehicle. Pretty impressive! Bluetooth connectivity, voice-activated navigation, a Harman/Kardon audio system, and a rear-vision camera are all also available as upgrades.
