Hudson Honda Sponsoring ‘HoBOOken Halloween 5K Race and Scary Scurry Kids Run'
WEST NEW YORK, N.J. – Hudson Honda is giving back to the community by sponsoring a family event called the "Hobooken Halloween 5K Race and Scary Scurry Kids Run." The event is scheduled to begin 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, with registration at Pier A Park on Sinatra Drive in Hoboken, N.J.
"The effort behind the race is to build safer playgrounds and parks for our kids," said Hudson Honda General Manager Christoper Tropiano. "We're very happy to sponsor the event because we know how important it is to create a safe environment where children can be physically active. The race itself is also a great opportunity for everyone to get more exercise before trick-or-treating begins. Aside from the health benefits, it's a very fun atmosphere for families to enjoy, and we're glad to be a part of it."
Hudson Honda would like everyone to know registration begins at 8 a.m. The 5K race begins at 10 a.m., and the Scary Scurry race, open to kids ages 2 through 12, begins at 11 a.m. Costume and race awards will be distributed at 11:15 a.m. There will be free baggage facilities available; however, people are discouraged to bring any valuables.
