Monitor Sensors Lancer
The 9Th Generation Lancer
The Mitsubishi Lancer first hit the streets in 1973. Over the past three decades the Lancer has evolved into a sports machine like no other, turning heads on city streets and rally courses alike. After nine generations of development, MMC's passion for driving has created a blend of power, performance and aerodynamics. Mitsubishi Motors Research and Development's concept for the Lancer EX is to have a commanding appearance, which is characterized by a highly refined sporty sedan design. MMC's R&D team worked toward bringing these concepts to life at every stage in the development. It was essential to develop styling that would clearly assert itself even within the extremely competitive compact sedan segment, a commanding appearance that will make heads turn and a character that would be instantly recognizable even from afar.
"Top of the Line" LANCER EX GTA is a compact sedan like no other. Equipped with Dual Stage 7-airbag system, Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), High Intensity Discharge (HID). Punctuated by the side air dams, rear spoilers and top of its class 18-inch wheels.
This 6-speed INVECS-III CVT Transmission with Sportronic didn't left any stone unturned, having a Rockford Fosgate Premium Audio System, Magnesium Alloy Paddle Shifters, Auto Rain Wiper Sensor and Auto Lighting Control.
The all-new Lancer EX features an all-new 4B11 engine. This new DOHC engine is 27 kilos lighter than its predecessor, due to its all-aluminum engine block and composite valve cover. MIVEC technology (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control) controls cam phasing/timing of both intake and exhausts cams, which results to high performance, good fuel economy, and a fatter power and torque band. Maximum power for this EURO 2 compliant engine is 155 PS at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 199 Newton-meter is achieved at 4,250 rpm.
Jet fighter-inspired front grille and slim headlight design contributes to the sporty character and confident stance, add also the Aggressive Front Face and Aerodynamic bodylines plus Projector Type High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps with Multi-reflector Adaptive Front-Lighting System.
The Lancer EX's Interior is centered on the driver, including an intuitive cockpit layout, dynamic carbon fiber-accent design, automotive repair manuals and inviting racing-style red information display and function controls. Paddle shifters and audio controls have also been incorporated within the steering area, giving you the control you want without ever needing to take your eyes off the road ahead.
Mitsubishi Motors has also raised the bar inside the all-new Lancer EX. When you sit on the Lancer EX GT-A's sport type seats, you will first notice 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio controls and magnesium alloy paddle shifters similar to the Outlander. The dashboard is complemented with a carbon-look accent strip and haynes repair manuals, which stretches from side to side. All the controls, dials of the auto-climate system, and buttons have been simplified and well located offering an uncluttered personal space. Beyond the steering wheel, two sporty analog gauges flank the multi-information display monitor that displays the odometer, trip meters, outside temperature, engine coolant temperature, fuel level, average fuel economy, kilometer range, maintenance reminder, and a thoughtful rest reminder.
About the Author
Mike has been working on cars and trucks since he got his first Olds 442 in the early 70's. Since then he was worked on many vehicles and is deeply interested in electronics and the new computer controls of todays vehicles. While it might seem they are limiting the DIY'r he thinks just the opposite. With the right OBDII Code Reader and Haynes repair Manual you can do far more than the days of screwdrivers and timing lights.

Automotive Sensors $81 Sensors are the eyes, ears, and more, of the modern engineered product or system. The modern automobile would not be what it is today without an entire battery of sensors that monitor, and control, everything from engine performance to passenger safety and comfort. This authoritative reference work, part of Momentum Press's new Sensors Technology series, edited by Dr. Joe Watson, will offer a complete review of all sensors and their associated controls systems typically found in the modern automotive vehicle. Readers will find invaluable data and guidance on: -- Automotive 'telematics' -- Both on-vehicle sensors as well as outdoor highway sensors for traffic control -- Power train, ignition control, fuel control, emission control, suspension control, braking and traction control -- Use of capacitive sensors for proximity monitoring |

Sensors $390 'Sensors' is the first self-contained series to deal with the whole area of sensors. It describes general aspects, technical and physical fundamentals, construction, function, applications and developments of the various types of sensors. This is the first of two volumes focusing on chemical and biochemical sensors providing definitions, typical examples of chemical and biochemical sensors and historical remarks. It describes chemical sensor technologies and interdisciplinary tasks in the design of chemical sensors. The major part consists of a description of basic sensors. They include electrolyte sensors, solid electrolyte sensors, electronic conductivity and capacitance sensors, field effect sensors, calorimetric sensors, optochemical sensors, and mass sensitive sensors. This volume is an indispensable reference work for both specialists and newcomers, researchers and developers. |

In Vivo Electrochemical Sensors. $115.71 Analyzing the brains extracellular chemical environment has the potential to provide significant insight into neurotransmission, pharmacology, and behavior providing insight into memory, thought, and disorders such as depression. In order to study these complex chemical interactions, scientists need tools that allow them to simultaneously monitor many different physiological indicators. The Michigan neural probe platform currently allows researchers to study electrophysiological activity through recording and stimulation. However, little attempt has been made to expand the Michigan probe platform by adding chemical sensing capabilities to the probes. This dissertation fills that gap and describes the development and characterization of chemical sensors suitable for inclusion on the current Michigan neural probes.Several key components were developed as part of this project. A biocompatible IrOX reference electrode is described and several deposition processes are examined and compared. The IrOX reference electrodes are stable over a period of twenty days with an average variation in open circuit potential of 3.2 mV/day. The design and testing of a 65 nm potentiostat suitable for inclusion in an implantable neurchemical sensing system is described. The potentiostat consumes 2.2 mW of power in area of less than 0.02 cm 2 and is capable of measuring currents as low as 1 nA. Finally several in vivo experiments are described which clearly demonstrate the ability to detect physiological changes in dopamine concentrations down to 100 nM using Michigan neural probes. The longterm goal of the project is the development of an integrated microsystem that will provide duality of sensing/actuation between the electrical and chemical domains for acute and chronic animal preparations. Nanotechnology Enabled In situ Sensors for Monitoring Health $129 Nanotechnologies are now being applied to health monitoring. Until recently, there has been little research into how to use nanotechnology and sensors in health monitoring. "Nanotechnology Enabled In Situ Sensors for Monitoring Health" summarizes the research efforts to design sensors based on nanotechnology that can be placed into the body to monitor health. Nanotechnology is being used at an unprecedented pace to both diagnose and treat diseases, rather than conventional approaches that diagnose and treat diseases in a different manner. |
