To indicate whether the vehicle is locked or unlocked, there are some discreet signals such as flashing vehicle lamps or distinctive sounds other than the horn. The car could beep or chirp twice to indicate that it has been unlocked, and once to signal that it has been put under lock.

Reprogramming Keyless Entry Remote Securely

The key fob transmits a distinct digital identity code with a particular radio frequency. The car computer identifies the code and accordingly responds. For keyless entry remote programming, follow these instructions:

• Take all keyless remotes in you hand. Close all doors, windows, etc. of the car during the programming.

• Although you require only one remote to enter program mode, all remotes have to be programmed at the same time.

• When your system is in the programming mode, make sure that you don't turn the key position 'off'.

• Program the system.

• When you have finished with the programming, turn off the ignition, remove the key, come out of the car and shut the door. Your reprogrammed remote is now ready.

Replacing the Old System Safely

You can get the system installed in a old car too. However, be mindful of security while doing that. Ask an experienced car locksmith to do the replacement for you. If you do not have a keyless entry system in your car yet, it would be a worthwhile investment. Make sure that you get the best quality keyless entry system as you would not like any kind of hiccups.
