Motorcycle Alarms

We invest a lot of money in our properties such that it is only reasonable to invest in alarms to keep thieves at bay.  We install house and car alarms but we usually forget motorcycle alarms.  In fact, there are still many bikers who have not outgrown the use of chain and padlocks.  But you see, only motorcycle alarms give us that real security of leaving our bikes in the open.

We need to install motorcycle alarms in order to discourage, if not deny, any attempt at getting our beloved bikes stolen.  The loud, shrilling sounds are enough to stun and surprise criminals.  An additional display of blinking lights complements the sound to make the thieves change their mind.  If that is not enough, advanced motorcycle alarms can immobilize the motorbike so that there is no way the thieves can turn the ignition on.

Most modern motorcycle alarms have the following built-in features depending on the model:

• radio receiver so that the owner can operate it by remote
• sensors in order to detect motion
• immobilizers of motorcycle ignition and of the engine
• keyless ignition
• alarm of different types
• lighting effects
• vehicle tracking system
• and many others

A common problem with motorcycle alarms users is the occurrence of a number of false alarms.  This causes passersby to simply not give them much attention.  That is the reason why there is need for effective immobilizers.

Most modern alarm sets can do the following:

1. The moment you remove the key from your bike, the alarm will beep to inform you that the alarm has been automatically set.
2. Some models of motorcycle alarms can enable you to make flashing lights and sound a siren to inform vehicles in front of your intention to overtake.  It is an added safety feature on the road, not just off it.
3. The remote control of many models of alarms is capable of starting the ignition or cutting the power of the engine, whichever is applicable.  It comes in handy when you need to impress your girlfriend.
4. Just in case you got held up and they take your bike, simply detach the remote control from the keychain inconspicuously and let the robbers speed off.  When you have enough distance between you and the bike, simply push the immobilizer key and the engine will stop.  The bad guys will think that the bike simply does not have enough gas and they will leave the bike.
5. You can use the remote control to search for your bike in a parking lot.  It saves you a lot of headache and trouble especially if it happens to be very dark or if the parking lot is packed full.
6. Anybody who rides the bike will put weight on the shock absorbers and the shock sensors will trigger an alarm even before a would-be thief short circuits the ignition.  And even if he is not a thief but simply wants to try the bike on without your consent, how dare he touch your baby.
7. You can use your motorcycle alarms' remote control to wireless switch on the LED illumination of your workhorse.  It needs no periodic maintenance and can function properly in any other weather condition.
